Careers & Cooperative Education offers industry placements as well as support for students who seek work experience independently.

Industry Placements

Careers & Cooperative Education's industry placement programs provide opportunities for UWS students from all years and disciplines to gain paid, degree-relevant industry experience before they graduate. This is a great way for students to boost their résumé, make valuable contacts and gain a competitive edge in the job market.

Programs range from 4 weeks to 24 weeks and include Vacation Programs, Internship Programs, Research Internships and International Internships.

Independent Work Experience

In this age of Do-It-Yourself projects, don't wait for opportunities to come to you – create one for yourself.

Before undertaking non-compulsory work experience:

• read the DIY Work Experience Guide (PDF, 78 Kb)
• complete and submit the Request for Student Insurance Cover online form. Careers & Cooperative Education will forward confirmation of your insurance cover.
