Graduating

Graduation is an important milestone for all students, marking as it does the end of a long period of learning and the beginning of a new career, sometimes a first career, often a second career in a different profession.

Australian ceremonies

We conduct two graduation sessions in Australia each year, one in April - May and another in September.

The next round of graduation ceremonies will be held in April 2010. The dates of the ceremonies will be advertised closer to the graduation period.

Confirmation of graduation letters for eligible graduands who have applied are sent out approximately six weeks before the ceremonies. Your letter will contain important details about your ceremony, including the date and time; payment information; guest and ticket information. If you want to attend your graduation ceremony, you must make your payment using iPay by the date stated in your letter. If you do not make this payment, you will not be able to attend the ceremony and will graduate inabsentia. Late payments will not be accepted.

Off-shore ceremonies

The 2009 off-shore ceremony was held in Hong Kong in March 2009.

Please check back later in 2009 for information about the 2010 off-shore ceremonies.

Graduating 'in absentia'

If you are unable to attend your ceremony, you will graduate 'in absentia'.

In order for your testamur to be posted to you, you will need to order and pay for registered postage through iPay. Current Graduate Postal Charges are AUD$15.00 for postage within Australia or AUD$25.00 for postage overseas.
