The Hills Shire Council aims to take a holistic approach to the social, environmental and economic aspects of urban and rural planning and development. Through strategic leadership, vision and a commitment to providing effective services and facilities, the Council ensures that it continues to facilitate community access to support services and foster a safer and cleaner environment for its residents.
In partnership with UWS, The Hills Shire Council is committed to supporting future development of the area by providing a scholarship for a young local resident wishing to undertake tertiary education.
Available: There is 1 scholarship in 2010
Scholarship Benefits: $5 000 for one year
Duration: Paid in two instalments for one year only
Course(s): A range of full-time undergraduate degrees at the Hawkesbury Campus*

Application Process and Selection: Applicants should apply using the Group B – Donor Funded Scholarships Application Form available on the How to Apply webpages.
Applicants must ensure that they complete the personal statement section of the application which requires you to outline your interest and/or experience in a food or related industry. Selection of this scholarship will be determined on the basis of the highest ATAR.
Conditions of the Scholarship: Recipients must remain in full-time study (40 credit points of study per semester) and maintain a minimum GPA of four (pass average).
