Biography

Professor Bobby Banerjee is Director of Research at the School of Business.

Prior to taking up this position, he was Professor of Strategic Management and Director of Research at the International Graduate School of Business, University of South Australia.

Prof. Banerjee has also held positions at: RMIT University where he was the Director of the Doctor of Business Administration Program, University of Wollongong where he was Director of the PhD and MBA programs, and the University of Massachusetts. Prior to his academic career, he spent 5 years working for multinational corporations in the chemicals industry.

He has taught undergraduates, MBAs and doctoral students. Courses include Corporate Strategy, International Business, Management Research - Theory and Methodology, Marketing Research, Research Methods and Principles of Marketing.

Prof. Banerjee has over 120 publications including articles in highly ranked international journals, chapters in books and conference papers, and is the recipient of 33 internal and external research grants. His book Corporate Social Responsibility: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly (Edward Elgar, UK) was published in November 2007.

He has published extensively in several internationally renowned scholarly journals including Journal of Marketing, Organization Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Organization, Human Relations, Organization & Environment, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Business Research, Management Learning, and Media, Culture & Society.

Prof. Banerjee regularly presents papers in international conferences such as the Academy of Management, European Group of Organization Studies and Critical Managment Studies.

Prof. Banerjee is a Senior Editor of Organization Studies, an A* ranked journal. He  serves on the editorial board of several journals including Journal of  Management Studies (A*); Organization (B); Organization & Environment (C);  Critical Perspectives on International Business (C); International Journal of  Work, Organization and Emotion (C); Organization Management Journal (C);  Culture and Organization (C), The Management Case Study Journal (C); and  International Journal of Management Research.
